Human understanding meets practical solutions.
Real change doesn’t come from rigid frameworks. It comes from conversations that make space for reflection, connection, and clarity - and from support that meets people where they’re at.
I work in partnership with organisations and individuals to develop real leadership capabilities, not just people management skills. That means getting curious about what’s really happening beneath the surface - why performance might be dipping, why teams feel disconnected, or why trust feels fragile - and once we have real understanding, we can start to shape real solutions.
Hi, I’m Lisa,
psychologist, consultant, and coach with over 20 years’ experience supporting leaders to navigate the human side of business through strategic, practical support.
I’ve worked with individuals and teams across SMEs, the NHS, and other global organisations – focused on understanding what helps people truly thrive at work, and supporting leaders to turn that insight into meaningful action.
I became a psychologist because I wanted to make sense of how people tick. And I stayed doing what I do because I’ve seen what it’s like when things aren’t working – when people feel burnt out, disconnected, and are quietly quitting or quietly cracking.
And I also know what it takes to turn things around.
I’m here to help you make sense of the ‘messier’, more complex stuff – people, behaviour, culture, dynamics – and turn what we uncover into something practical, useful, and most importantly, human. After all, you need your people to achieve your results.
You won’t find generic programmes or off-the-shelf fixes here. Just real partnership and strategic support for conscious leaders who want to create meaningful, sustainable impact – without losing sight of what matters most: people.
My Guiding Principles.
Psychology-backed
With a background as a Chartered Psychologist, my approach blends psychological insight with real-world practicality. This isn’t theory for the sake of it - these insights inform what will work for your people, in your environment, under your pressures.
One-size-fits-no-one
Every organisation is different. As is each individual. And every team has its own rhythm, challenges, and dynamics. That’s why the support I offer is tailored to what’s actually needed - we focus where it counts.
Integrated, not siloed
Culture, leadership, and performance are deeply interconnected. You won’t find one without the others. And so we work across these 3 core concepts beneath the umbrella of People Strategy, joining the dots across teams - with the flexibility to move where the real need sits.
A trusted partnership
Clients often say I’m the person they call when they don’t know who else to ask. That’s no accident. I don’t arrive with pre-set answers. I listen closely, challenge thoughtfully, and support with honesty - because the best solutions come when people feel safe to think clearly, speak freely, and lead purposefully.
Hear me speak.

"Lisa and I worked together over a few projects focusing on building cohesion and improved communication across multiple Senior Management Teams (SMT) at NHS England. Lisa was brilliant at building trust, which was vital as several of the individuals were sceptical about the work, fearing it would be tokenistic. Lisa brought a level of authenticity to her conversations with individuals which allowed them to be truly honest about the challenges they saw. This led to the SMT being able to face up to some hard truths that had previously been consigned to the 'too hard to look at' pile. Lisa understood what made us tick as individuals as well as a group. The sessions never felt 'out of the box' but totally tailored to us and our needs. She checked in regularly between sessions to understand how things were landing and constantly tweaked her approach to flex with us as our needs changed. I really valued her nuanced approach and several years after first working with her I still consider her one of my most valued advisors when I want an independent perspective."

I had the pleasure of inviting Lisa to talk to my senior leader apprentices about managing change. Lisa skillfully explained how to use and apply psychological and evidenced principles for planning future of work strategies, providing ideas for building workplace environments that foster team collaboration, engagement and inclusivity. Creating workplace cultures that promote and develop these dynamic teams is just one of the ways we can address future trends and influence change. Lots of discussion ensued from her superb workshop session, which continued over lunch and into our Friday afternoon debate! Thank you for such a superb workshop.

MD | Howorth
We have engaged with Lisa for several years now since being recommended her excellent "Beyond The Water Cooler" podcast. Lisa worked with me on an individual basis before supporting the wider Howorth Leadership Team on a Leadership of Change journey, and through Leadership Labs. Everything I, or we have worked on with Lisa has been first class, bringing challenge and a different perspective to our way of thinking or mode of operation. Lisa is an excellent facilitator and recently delivered what was undoubtedly one of the most powerful and positive development sessions that we have ever had as a team.

"I organised the session with Lisa for my group of Government apprentices and the session was wonderful - I enjoyed it a great deal and have had fantastic feedback from those that joined . I would definitely recommend to others and I will certainly do so at my cross-government meetings & group events. Lisa's approach was friendly yet informative, and gave attendees the opportunity to feel comfortable to voice opinions. Even after having attended lots of well-being and mental health workshops, one apprentice felt that Lisa described key topics differently, that really resonated with them."

"Lisa spoke at Venture Harbour's Winter Retreat and was one of the team's favourite sessions. Being a team of skeptical "engineering types" I have to admit I wasn't sure how the session on mental health would go down. Needless to say, Lisa did an exceptional job - balancing broad best practice with scientific detail when relevant. Her exercises were fun and, crucially, had lasting impact. Following the success of the Winter Retreat talk, we arranged a 1-to-1 session with Lisa for each team member - which I've heard nothing but glowing things from conversations with the team."

"As part of National Apprenticeship Week we asked Lisa to provide a tailored wellbeing session for apprentices. The session was delivered brilliantly, providing individuals with information and techniques to manage their studying, workload and personal lives; to look after their mental health to avoid burnout. The session was interactive and received great feedback from our apprentices. I highly recommend."

"We asked Lisa to do a talk for our agency just before Christmas 2020, in the midst of lockdown and a year that had taken its toll on everyone. Lisa delivered a brilliant and motivating talk that focused on mental resilience in times of uncertainty. Lisa managed to equip our teams with some coping strategies and techniques that will ensure that they can go into 2021 feeling prepared and optimistic about managing their own mental health. The talk was interesting and engaging, with a few surprises added in (!) and I would highly recommend Lisa to you."

"We have been commissioning Lisa to run training for Primary School staff for a number of years now and her training is always well received by attendees. This year Lisa is running a series of sessions around social, emotional, mental health which has led a school to book Lisa to host their INSET day. I would highly recommend Lisa and the services she offers"
